Our History

2018

1st IASC AeroSummit launches as the CIIE’s civil aviation module.

Building on the China International Import Expo (CIIE), IASC established the AeroSummit to convene civil aviation stakeholders for high-level dialogue, partnership building, and cross-border collaboration.​​

2019

Paris Air Show (Le Bourget): IASC connects with the EACP.

During the Paris Air Show, IASC was introduced to the European Aerospace Cluster Partnership (EACP), marking the start of IASC’s long-term engagement with the global aerospace cluster community and international collaboration programs.

2020

IASC co-hosts with Choose Paris Region and CCI Paris Île-de-France.

With Choose Paris Region and CCI Paris Île-de-France joining as co-hosts—alongside continuing participation from Washington State—AeroSummit marked a clear step toward a global platform. The AeroSummit convened major OEM-aligned communities across Boeing, Airbus, and COMAC.

2022

IASC signs an MoU with EACP to formalize Europe–China aerospace cluster collaboration.

IASC and the European Aerospace Cluster Partnership (EACP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to formalize cooperation between the two organizations and strengthen bilateral aerospace engagement between Europe and China.​

2023

GACP is established at the Paris Air Show, forming the world’s largest aerospace cluster network.

Global Aerospace Cluster Partnership (GACP), an initiative of the European Aerospace Cluster Partnership (EACP), was officially formed by +60 aerospace clusters representing European, Asian, American, and African aerospace industries.

2024

Inaugural GACP China International Cluster Exchange.

IASC hosted the first GACP China International Cluster Exchange, integrating the 7th IASC Leadership Summit with in-market visits across Shanghai, Chengdu, Deyang, and Taicang.​ Delegations from Wales, Singapore, France, Germany, and the United States met with Chinese SMEs and policymakers and connected with global aerospace leaders during the AeroSummit program.​

2025

IASC debuts its first Chinese Aerospace Clusters Pavilion at the Paris Air Show; the AeroSummit expands to Hunan.

In June 2025, IASC launched its China for Global Pavilion at the 55th International Paris Air Show (June 16–22), showcasing a curated group of Chinese aerospace companies and facilitating targeted introductions with international partners.​

In November 2025, the 8th IASC AeroSummit was hosted in Hunan for the first time, strengthening on-the-ground engagement in a new regional aerospace hub while keeping its China–global supply chain focus.​

In 2025…

The eighth China International Import Expo (CIIE) set new records for scale and deal-making, further cementing its role as a flagship platform for global trade and collaboration. Over six days, the expo brought together 4,108 overseas enterprises from 155 countries, regions, and international organizations, spanning more than 430,000 square meters of exhibition space and showcasing a broad range of innovative products, technologies, and services.​

Tentative agreements worth 83.49 billion USD were reached for one-year purchases of goods and services, a 4.4 percent increase from the previous year and the highest value in the event’s history. With robust participation by leading multinationals alongside a diverse mix of SMEs, the 8th CIIE underscored the expo’s growing appeal as a gateway to China’s market and a catalyst for long-term international business partnerships.
